Ways You Are Creating Your Own Unhappiness

Imagination about uncertain things

You have a general notion that you are not lucky enough to hold a good position in your organization or to achieve big things in life. You are under the notion that your boss doesn’t like you or your colleague might have gained your boss’s confidence that he got a promotion before you. What you have to do now is to eliminate those negative and disruptive thoughts within you. This way you can bring about a check on your own mental condition.

Judge yourself positively

Most of the time it is your own inner voice that pulls you down. It is not your colleague or your boss who has judged you harshly. It is you who have made a harsh comment about you. The first thing you have to do is to develop kindness towards yourself. Judge yourself correctly. Identify your own strengths before forming an opinion about yourself. Check your thoughts and cultivate compassion for yourself.

Stop thinking that your mistakes are the cause of your downfall

It is quite common for all to make mistakes. But, if you think that your mistakes are the reasons for your set back, you will fail in your life, ultimately. Learn from your mistakes because they are the greatest teachers in life. Whenever you meet with a failure don’t collapse. Instead, be bold and face the reality.

Don’t scold yourself for things you can’t control

There are some things over which we have little control. For example, if you have bought a lottery ticket and don’t win, that is no because of your fault. It is sheer luck that helps you win a lottery. Stop blaming yourself for not winning a lottery because you are not the reason for your misery. On the flip side, if you are addicted to alcohol, it is your mistake that should be rectified immediately.

Don’t blame others if you could have controlled a situation

Never blame others for something you could have prevented from happening. If you could have avoided an accident from happening if you applied a brake, you can’t blame the other party for your negligence.

Don’t punish yourself by becoming an addict to harmful habits

Don’t be an addict to bad habits. Understand that drinking doesn’t alleviate your pain or give any sort of pleasure. It just harms your health.  Alcohol, cigarettes, and drugs are harmful friends who cut short your life. So, if you are very gloomy and want to come out of it, consult a therapist who will tell you ways to get rid of harmful habits. These bad habits are like painkillers that give relief to a large extent, but with side effects. The more you seek refuge in such things, the shorter will be your life span.

Stop comparing yourself with others

Your friend’s nose may be beautiful. Another one may have attractive eyes. Don’t think you are ugly because your nose is not beautiful or eyes are not blue. You may have a good figure or you have a unique quality to impress people by your talk. It is a fact that God would have given something or the other for which you can feel proud of.Never compare yourself with others.

Try not to imitate others

This is one of the causes of extreme unhappiness in people. Always be yourself if you want to stay happy. You can’t copy another completely. As a result, you lose your identity. Always follow your heart and stay happy.

Never have any wrong belief

You simply think that your bad habits are acquired from your ancestors and can’t get rid of it. Is there anything that can’t be avoided by putting in some efforts? Try hard to live without bad habits.

Never think you have to do all things

Never get disheartened because you are not able to do a particular thing. If you can’t handle things single-handedly, you can seek help from others like your colleagues or friends. Even a therapist can come to your help if you think things are going out of control.

These are the 10 things you are creating your own unhappiness.
